This is a promotional video made to showcase what the Orland Park Fire Department’s annual open house has to offer!

The OPFD celebrated 125 years of service and 50 years as a Fire District during their open houses on Saturday July 20, 2019.

Some of the events included a live side-by-side fire demo, hosted by fire inspector, Pat Collier, who explained the reasons why sprinkler systems are a necessity.

Firefighter/Paramedic, Mark Hogan hosted both the diver and car extraction demo’s. Both demonstrations showcased how the OPFD saves lives.

Another demo was hosted by EMS Corrdinator, Mark Duke. Duke explained how the Orland Fire has one of the highest cardiac arrest save rates during the EMS demonstration.

Another vital part of the Orland Park Fire Department is senior services. The Orland Fire hosts a lot of events designed for senior citizens to ensure their safety including the Monthly Coffee & Conversations hosted by Aishling. For more information on Orland Fire events, visit their website at www.OrlandFire.org.

The open house showcased just a few of these senior opportunities.

The OPFD was honored to receive a document from Congressman Dan Lipinski and Cook Count Commissioner, Sean Morrison and support from former Cook County Commissioner Liz Gorman.
