Restaurant review: The Machine Shed in Rockford, Illinois. Offers great steaks, and a down home country environment that reaches back to the past.

I thought by the name that there would be more things inside having to do with machines.
When you first walk through the door, there is a very large gift shop. They sold a bunch of things including cookies, plates and chinaware and even John Deere farming toys and nick knacks. We were walked to our table, though the pretty large restaurant.
It’s a lot bigger on the inside than it seems from the outside. Since it was Saturday, my dad and I both tried the 18 ounce smoked prime rib called Hoss. They only serve the smoked prime rib steaks on Saturdays. My mom got 1/2 Slab of ribs.
A cool minor thing about the restaurant is that they serve water and drinks in clear glass mason jars. They also had some cool antique signs and advertisements hanging on the walls.
It took under 20 minutes for the food to come. My dad and I were immersed in a way about writing when the food came. We were racing to beat each other to be the first to post and write a review. I’m 99.99% sure I won because I wrote this while sitting at the restaurant. Our steaks were larger than I was expecting. I forgot that I ordered a
smoked steak, so when I first ate it When It did come I thought it tasted a bit like ham. It was pretty good though. The flavor is rate about 6 out of 10 based on other steaks I’ve had. The eatability of it was a solid 8 of 10, 10 being very easy to eat. Pricing for the 18 ounce steak was $26. My mom and dad both liked their food.
Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes because the pricing was good and the food was good. They also had a nice array of menu choices. Overallis rate this restaurant 6.8 out of 10.
